Job summary

Texas Instruments India is seeking an Analog EDA engineer to drive development, deployment and support of in-house EDA tools and flows across TI's Analog and Embedded groups.

You will collaborate with design teams and vendors (Cadence, Synopsys) to evaluate tools, automate flows, and create training materials for global applications.

Candidates should have a strong background in EDA/CAD, CMOS analog design, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 6+ years of relevant EDA/CAD experience with automation interest.
  • Strong CMOS analog circuit fundamentals and simulation experience.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and fast-paced environments.
  • Self-motivated with initiative and results-driven.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task.

Responsibilities

  • Work with cross-functional teams within EDA and internal customers and stakeholders in IP and SoC design teams to define, evaluate, develop, deploy and support new EDA solutions
  • Collaborate with vendors (Cadence, Synopsys etc) towards tool/flow evaluations, automations, regress these for various process nodes, create training materials and deploy them as worldwide applications.

EDA is a central organization in TI responsible for developing, deploying and supporting EDA methodology, tools, flows and solutions for worldwide TI Businesses. The EDA solutions span across different domains of IC development, covering IP and SoC development. The team supports all Analog and Embedded business groups across worldwide sites. The team’s charter includes definition of differentiated solutions by defining and developing in‑house tools, flows and methodologies augmenting the tools available from EDA vendors. The team enables business teams succeed with best PPA and faster time to market deliveries.

The team enables business teams succeed with best PPA and faster time to market deliveries. As an Analog EDA engineer in the team, you will be working on below EDA solutions.

  • Work with cross-functional teams within EDA and internal customers and stakeholders in IP and SoC design teams to define, evaluate, develop, deploy and support new EDA solutions
  • Collaborate with vendors (Cadence, Synopsys etc) towards tool/flow evaluations, automations, regress these for various process nodes, create training materials and deploy them as worldwide applications.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related field of study
  • 6+ years of relevant EDA/CAD experience combined with a passion for automation
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good CMOS circuits basics, analog circuits and simulation experience
  • Demonstrated strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to take the initiative and drive to results
  • Skills to manage time and multi-task at work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team-work is imperative in this role
Preferred Skills/ Experience
  • 0-2 years of experience in EDA/CAD in Backend Analog Design Tools (Virtuoso, Layout, DRC, LVS, Extraction, Basic simulation, etc )
  • Proficiency in programming languages and technologies as needed for projects: Python, TCL, Cadence SKILL, Unix, Shell programming etc
  • Optional: AI/ML solutions, Compute infrastructure, Data management
