Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in anesthesiology.
• DNB Anaesthesiology required.
• MD qualification mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluate patient fitness for surgery.
• Plan and administer appropriate types of anesthesia (general, regional, local) based on patient condition and procedure.
• Monitor patient vital signs and physiological parameters during surgery.
• Manage airway, ventilation, and hemodynamic stability throughout procedures.
• Handle critical situations including emergencies, complications, and adverse reactions.
• Provide pain management and post-operative care to patients.
• Assist in intensive care management and critical care support when required.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and OT staff for smooth surgical operations.
• Ensure availability and readiness of anesthesia equipment and drugs.
• Maintain accurate anesthesia records and documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety protocols, and clinical guidelines.
• Participate in code blue and emergency response teams.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, SOPs, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor recovery of patients post-anesthesia and manage complications if any.
• Provide sedation services for diagnostic and minor procedures.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities.
• Train and mentor junior doctors, technicians, and nursing staff.
• Stay updated with advancements in anesthesia techniques and technologies.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical medical practices.
• Work in rotational shifts including emergency and on-call duties.
• Coordinate with ICU team for critical patient management.
• Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of anesthesia equipment.
• Provide patient and family counseling regarding anesthesia procedures and risks.
• Demonstrate professionalism, precision, and strong decision-making skills.
