We are looking for a well-rounded Amazon Marketplace Manager to manage and grow our Amazon business across multiple consumer brands.
This is not a basic Amazon VA role. We need someone who can take ownership of the full Amazon channel, including P&L management, Amazon advertising, SEO, listing optimization, product launches, inventory coordination, compliance awareness, and growth strategy.
The ideal person understands Amazon as a complete business channel — not just ads, not just listings, and not just operations. You should be able to manage the account from end to end, identify problems before they become expensive, and make decisions based on profitability, ranking, inventory health, conversion rate, compliance risk, and long‑term brand growth.
Key Responsibilities – Full Amazon Account Ownership
- Manage day‑to‑day Amazon Seller Central operations across multiple brands
- Monitor account health, listing issues, suppressed listings, stranded inventory, pricing errors, and Amazon cases
- Maintain strong operational discipline across listings, inventory, advertising, reporting, and compliance
- Build systems and processes so the owner does not need to be involved in daily Amazon execution
- Coordinate with internal team members, warehouses, 3PLs, designers, copywriters, and freelancers when needed
P&L and Profitability Management
- Manage the Amazon channel with a clear focus on profitability
- Track revenue, gross margin, contribution margin, FBA fees, storage fees, ad spend, refunds, discounts, and promotions
- Identify profit leaks and recommend improvements
- Monitor product‑level profitability and advise when products need pricing, packaging, fulfillment, or marketing adjustments
- Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports with clear action items
- Help prioritize which products and brands deserve the most focus based on ROI, margin, growth potential, and operational readiness
Amazon SEO and Listing Optimization
- Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis
- Optimize product titles, bullet points, backend search terms, descriptions, A+ content, and storefront content
- Improve organic ranking, click‑through rate, and conversion rate
- Monitor keyword ranking performance and adjust strategy accordingly
- Identify content gaps, image improvement opportunities, and listing conversion issues
- Recommend listing improvements based on search demand, competitor positioning, customer reviews, and Amazon best practices
Amazon Advertising and Marketing Management
- Manage Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Brands Video, and Sponsored Display campaigns
- Track ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CPC, conversion rate, and campaign profitability
- Build advertising strategies for both existing products and new launches
- Optimize ad spend based on both growth and profitability
- Develop promotional strategies using coupons, deals, bundles, variations, and seasonal opportunities
- Coordinate creative needs for images, videos, A+ content, and brand storefront updates
- Work with the owner to set advertising budgets and growth targets
Product Launch and Growth Strategy
- Build launch plans for new products from research to execution
- Scout Amazon trends, category gaps, competitor weaknesses, and product opportunities
- Recommend new products, bundles, variations, and positioning angles
- Create 30/60/90‑day action plans for products and brands
- Analyze customer reviews, competitor listings, pricing, packaging, and keyword opportunities
- Help identify low‑hanging growth opportunities across the portfolio
Inventory and Operations Coordination
- Monitor inventory levels and prevent stockouts
- Coordinate with internal team members, warehouse partners, or 3PLs for FBA shipments
- Track restock limits, inventory age, storage fees, stranded inventory, and inbound shipment issues
- Help forecast demand based on sales velocity, seasonality, and marketing activity
- Flag inventory risks before they affect sales or ranking
Compliance and Risk Awareness
- Maintain awareness of Amazon policy requirements
- Help prevent risky claims, especially in sensitive categories such as food, beauty, health, wellness, natural products, or supplements
- Monitor account health and product compliance issues
- Coordinate required documentation when Amazon requests invoices, certifications, labels, safety documents, or compliance proof
- Work carefully to protect the long‑term health of the Amazon accounts
- Review listings and marketing content for potential compliance or claims‑related risks
Ideal Candidate
- Strong in Amazon Seller Central
- Experienced with Amazon PPC and SEO
- Comfortable managing multiple brands and product lines
- Able to think like a business operator, not just a task executor
- Strong with numbers, margins, reporting, and P&L thinking
- Experienced with product launches
- Familiar with CPG, food, beauty, wellness, natural products, or similar categories
- Comfortable managing freelancers, designers, copywriters, or VAs when needed
