SG Oasis in Gurugram, Haryana, is seeking an Assistant Manager for Packaging Procurement & Strategic Sourcing. The role focuses on day-to-day packaging procurement, vendor management, and cost optimization across coffee/F&B packaging formats.

The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of experience in packaging procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in Excel for data analysis. This on-site role requires coordination with Product, Design, Quality, and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in Packaging Procurement or Strategic Sourcing
• Experience in F&B, FMCG, QSR, Retail, E-commerce, or Coffee/Food businesses preferred
• Hands-on experience in packaging procurement and vendor management
• Strong MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day procurement and sourcing of packaging materials
• Coordinate with packaging manufacturers and suppliers; identify alternate suppliers for competitive pricing
• Coordinate with vendors for pricing, MOQs, lead times, payment terms, and delivery; support price benchmarking
• Analyse quotations and cost components (GSM, printing, lamination, raw materials, tooling, MOQ, conversion costs)
• Purchase and inventory planning to ensure timely availability and avoid stock-outs; track orders

Job Title: Assistant Manager Packaging Procurement & Strategic Sourcing Location: Udyog Vihar, Gurugram, Haryana Department: Supply Chain & Procurement Work Schedule: 5 Days a Week | 2 Weekly Offs

About the Role:

Candidates with experience in F&B, FMCG, QSR, Retail, E-commerce, or Coffee/Food businesses and hands-on exposure to packaging procurement will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Packaging Procurement & Sourcing

• Handle day-to-day procurement and sourcing of packaging materials.
• Manage categories such as coffee pouches/bags, paper bags, cups, lids, food containers, cartons, boxes, labels, sleeves, and other branded packaging.
• Identify and coordinate with packaging manufacturers and suppliers.
• Source alternate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and uninterrupted supply.

2. Vendor Management & Negotiation

• Coordinate with existing and new vendors for pricing, MOQ, lead time, payment terms, and delivery.
• Support commercial negotiations and supplier price benchmarking.
• Monitor vendor performance on quality, pricing, delivery, and service levels.
• Resolve routine supplier and delivery-related issues.

3. Packaging Costing & Development

• Analyse packaging quotations and cost components.
• Understand basic packaging cost drivers such as GSM, printing, lamination, raw material, tooling, die-making, MOQ, and conversion costs.
• Support cost-reduction initiatives and alternate material/supplier development.
• Coordinate with Product, Design, Quality, and Operations teams for new packaging requirements.

4. Purchase & Inventory Planning

• Coordinate packaging requirements based on consumption and business plans.
• Ensure timely availability of packaging materials and avoid stock-outs.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with Warehouse and Operations teams.
• Track purchase orders, deliveries, and pending supplies.

5. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure packaging meets approved specifications and brand requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality teams for packaging approvals and supplier quality issues.
• Ensure applicable food-grade and regulatory requirements are followed.

Candidate Profile

• 4 to 7 years of experience in Packaging Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Purchase, or Supply Chain.
• Experience in F&B, FMCG, QSR, Retail, E-commerce, or Coffee/Food businesses preferred.
• Hands-on experience in packaging procurement and vendor management.
• Knowledge of coffee/F&B packaging such as pouches, cups, lids, paper bags, cartons, food containers, labels, and printed packaging will be an advantage.
• Strong negotiation and vendor-management skills.
• Good understanding of packaging costing and commercial terms.
• Strong MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems preferred.
• Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with ownership of assigned categories.
