Leadership Talent Hunters is seeking an Assistant Manager HSE (Corporate) for a leading manufacturer of road construction products. The role covers HSE management systems, audits, plant governance, project safety, transport safety, incident management, and sustainability initiatives.
The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree with 5–8 years of HSE experience in process industries and possesses ADIS/NEBOSH qualifications.
We are seeking an Assistant Manager HSE (Corporate) for a leading manufacturer of Road Construction Products.
Job Profile:
Maintain ISO 14001, 45001, and 9001 systems; coordinate internal/external audits and CAPA tracking.
Manage corporate HSE procedures, standards, and manual updates.
Conduct HSE audits across owned/third-party plants, depots, and corporate offices.
Ensure statutory compliance and monitor plant safety KPI trends.
Oversee HSE for greenfield and brownfield projects.
Review contractor safety plans, risk assessments, permits, and safe man-hours.
Enforce transport safety standards, GPS tracking, and tanker/transporter compliance.
Lead transporter audits, incident tracking, telematics, and Defensive Driving Training (DDT).
Investigate near misses, process safety, vehicle, and property damage incidents.
Drive corrective/preventive actions to closure and publish Safety Alerts/Lessons Learned.
Evaluate contractor and transporter HSE competency and enforce compliance procedures.
Execute the annual HSE training calendar, including DDT, First Aid, Firefighting, and Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs.
Maintain site training and competency records.
Drive ESG initiatives, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR), and environmental compliance.
Track KPIs for energy, water, waste generation, and carbon emissions.
Coordinate mock drills, review Emergency Response Plans, and conduct facility readiness assessments.
Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE dashboards and KPI reports.
Perform trend analysis to drive continuous safety improvements.
Engineering Degree (Chemical / Mechanical / Industrial / Environmental or equivalent) with 5-8 years of HSE experience in manufacturing, chemical, petrochemical, bitumen, oil & gas, lubricants, or process industries.
Preferred Qualifications : ADIS (Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety), NEBOSH IGC, ISO 4501 Internal Auditor, ISO 14001 Internal Auditor, Process Safety Management training
30-40% travel across India for audits, inspections, project reviews, transporter assessments, and incident investigations.
Experience in multi-location HSE management preferred.
Exposure to project safety and transport safety management is desirable.
