Job summary

TechDoQuest in Mumbai is seeking a skilled PCB Designer with hands-on experience in Altium Designer to develop high-quality printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for electronic products.

The ideal candidate will work closely with hardware engineers, mechanical engineers, and manufacturing teams to design, validate, and release PCB designs that meet performance, manufacturability, and reliability requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on PCB layout experience using Altium Designer.
• Ability to translate schematics into manufacturable PCB designs.
• Strong collaboration with hardware, mechanical and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

• Create PCB layouts for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power designs.
• Develop and maintain footprints, libraries, and design rules.
• Translate circuit schematics into manufacturable designs and verify with DRC/ERC.
• Perform component placement, routing, and impedance-controlled design.
• Generate fabrication and assembly documentation (Gerber, BOM, pick-and-place).
• Coordinate with fabrication vendors to resolve issues and ensure quality.
• Participate in design reviews and maintain revision control and documentation.

Job description

• Create PCB layouts for analog, digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics designs using Altium Designer.
• Develop and maintain PCB footprints, component libraries, and design rules.
• Translate circuit schematics into manufacturable PCB designs.
• Perform component placement, routing, stack-up definition, and impedance-controlled design.
• Conduct design rule checks (DRC), electrical rule checks (ERC), and layout reviews.
• Work with hardware engineers to electromagnetic compatibility (EMC/EMI).
• Generate fabrication, assembly, and manufacturing documentation including Gerber files, ODB++, BOM, pick-and-place files, and assembly drawings.
• Coordinate with fabrication and assembly vendors to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and company design practices.
• Maintain design documentation and revision control throughout the product lifecycle.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
