Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking an AIOps Architect to lead the AI, agentic automation, and observability architecture for our SDP Services, a 400-500 cloud Python app estate supporting revenue-critical capabilities including Algo Trading, Quant Models, and Data Loaders.

In this role you will own the autonomous operations layer across 48 tier-one apps, 45 databases, and 320 production environments spanning 12 countries, ensuring reliable, governed execution with sub-2h RTO.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of IT experience in platform/solution architecture with AI/ML or AIOps.
• Experience building autonomous multi-agent workflows, LLMOps pipelines, RAG systems, and tool-use integrations across Datadog, Jira, and AWS APIs.
• Background in cloud-hosted Python environments, AWS preferred, including distributed databases and low-code/no-code governance.
• Familiarity with enterprise monitoring tools such as Datadog, Dynatrace, and Prometheus/Grafana; managing 300+ production environments.
• Exceptional ability to communicate technical risks and operational status to non-technical business owners.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the AI-driven monitoring and observability architecture for the SDP platform estate.
• Design and operate automated triage and incident classification processes, routing by business capability and technical stack before L2 engagement.
• Provide technical governance on platform-layer changes, guardrails, and patterns for the low-code/no-code environment.
• Serve as the technical interface to the SDP platform governance function.
• Surface operational failure patterns and propose platform-side remediation.
• Ensure SLA adherence, including P1 15 min/4 h, P2 30 min/8 h, with 24×7 coverage for highly critical applications.
