Director, AI Transformation (Life Sciences)

Location: Bangalore preferred | Open to candidates across India

We are partnering with a global organisation to appoint a Director, AI Transformation to lead its enterprise AI agenda. This is a hands-on transformation leadership role focused on defining AI strategy, establishing governance, identifying and delivering high-value use cases, and accelerating responsible AI adoption across the the business within a highly regulated industry.

We are looking for an experienced AI practitioner who has successfully taken enterprise AI initiatives from concept through to production, particularly within highly regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the enterprise AI strategy, roadmap and use-case portfolio.
• Establish practical AI governance, risk and operating frameworks, particularly for regulated environments.
• Identify and prioritise AI opportunities based on measurable business value and lead initiatives from discovery through implementation and adoption.
• Provide technical oversight across GenAI/LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, APIs/integration, model evaluation and monitoring.
• Ensure appropriate controls around data security, information security, privacy, data integrity and human oversight.
• Partner with business, technology, security, data, quality and regulatory stakeholders to move AI safely into production.
• Lead and challenge third-party AI/technology partners responsible for solution engineering and delivery.
• Drive adoption and track measurable business outcomes from deployed AI capabilities.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of technology experience, with significant experience delivering enterprise AI, GenAI or AI-enabled transformation.
• GxP and/or computerised system validation experience
• Strong combination of AI technical credibility and business transformation experience
• Proven experience taking AI solutions from business use case through to production deployment.
• Experience within life sciences or another highly regulated industry is essential.
• Strong understanding of AI governance, data protection, information security and enterprise risk.
• Experience with modern AI architectures including LLMs, RAG, agentic AI, MLOps, APIs and enterprise integration.

Bangalore preferred, but strong candidates elsewhere in India will be considered.
