Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a Solution Architect to design and lead AI/ML initiatives on GCP, shaping the future of global commerce from Pune, India. You will own end-to-end AI project lifecycles, building scalable data pipelines and ensuring secure, compliant deployment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in AI/ML solution architecture with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP AI/ML services and data engineering on GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with TensorFlow/PyTorch is a plus.

Responsibilities

What you’ll own

• Architect and design AI/ML solutions using GCP services (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, etc.).
• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects: requirements gathering, solution design, prototyping, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and model training workflows on GCP.
• Advise on best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in cloud-based AI systems.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Optimize AI workloads for performance, cost, and reliability on GCP.
• Stay current with GCP advancements and emerging AI/ML technologies.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and code reviews for AI projects.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML solution architecture, with at least 2 years on GCP.
• Hands-on experience with GCP AI/ML services (Vertex AI, BigQuery ML, AutoML, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of data engineering (ETL, data lakes, data warehousing) on GCP.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL; experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn is a plus.
• Experience with MLOps, CI/CD, and model deployment on GCP.
• Familiarity with GCP security, IAM, and cost management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• GCP Professional certifications (e.g., Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.

It's a bonus if you have

• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud AI architectures.
• Knowledge of data migration, data quality, and data lineage in cloud environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.) is a plus.
