Job summary

Persistent Systems Limited is seeking an Associate AI/ML Engineer to join our AI-driven digital engineering team. You will develop full-stack, cloud-native applications using React/Next.js on the front end and Spring Boot/Python on the backend, while integrating AI-enabled features under senior guidance.

You will work in an Agile/Scrum environment, contribute to scalable architecture, and help optimize CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack application development.
• Practical exposure to React-based UI development, Spring Microservices, and API-driven architectures.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Good understanding of building secure, reliable, and scalable systems including authentication, authorization, and monitoring.
• Experience integrating AI/ML capabilities into applications or microservices.

Responsibilities

• Develop micro products and services using React/Next.js for front-end and Spring Boot/Python for backend development.
• Contribute to building AI-enabled features, including exposure to Generative AI and agent-based workflows, under guidance from senior engineers.
• Write and optimize database queries and stored procedures using MS SQL and work with GraphQL APIs for efficient data access.
• Collaborate as part of an Agile/Scrum team to deliver new product features and services in iterative release cycles.
• Participate actively in code reviews, following coding standards and incorporating feedback to improve code quality.
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, contributing to build, deployment, and automation efforts for cloud-native applications.

About Position

We are seeking a skilled Associate AI/ML Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will develop and deliver full-stack, cloud-native applications using modern UI frameworks and scalable backend microservices. You will work under established architectural guidelines to design, implement, test, and troubleshoot software components and features, ensuring quality, performance, and reliability.

• Practical exposure to applying AI/ML or NLP concepts to real-world business problems.
• Demonstrated ability to build maintainable, reusable, and scalable software solutions.
• Experience working with React, Next.js, Spring Boot, Python, GraphQL, and MS SQL technologies.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, code quality, testing, and continuous integration.
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of experimental methodologies, optimization, probability theory, and machine learning concepts.
• Ability to communicate and present complex analytics findings and technical concepts to leadership and stakeholders.
