Persistent Systems Limited is seeking a Cloud AI/ML Technical Lead in Bengaluru to design, develop, and deliver cloud-native, AI-powered solutions across AWS and Azure. You will lead technical implementations, mentor engineers, and drive modern cloud, DevOps, and Generative AI practices using OpenAI technologies.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, architecture reviews, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure applications and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience across Software Development, Cloud Engineering, AI/ML, or Full Stack Engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience developing and integrating solutions using OpenAI APIs, Azure OpenAI Service, or Generative AI frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Node.js, .NET, or similar languages.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud-native apps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and enhance cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions across AWS and Azure environments.
• Build scalable APIs, microservices, automation frameworks, and distributed cloud applications.
• Develop and integrate OpenAI-powered capabilities such as chatbots, virtual assistants, intelligent search, document processing, content generation, and AI agents.
• Implement serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, API Gateway, Event Grid, Event Hub, etc.
• Design and deploy containerized apps using Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, or EKS.
• Integrate AI/ML models and services into enterprise apps with scalability and security.
• Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decisions.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, QA, DevOps, security, and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance for high availability.
• Implement security, monitoring, observability, and cloud governance.
• Create technical docs, reusable frameworks, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor developers and promote engineering excellence.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 5-8 years of experience in Software Development, Cloud Engineering, AI/ML Development, or Full Stack Engineering.

• Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Vector Databases, and AI Agent architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, or other container orchestration platforms.
• Experience working with serverless services, cloud storage, messaging systems, and API management solutions.
• Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks and tools such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and cloud automation.
• Experience implementing security, authentication, authorization, monitoring, and observability best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical challenges and drive solutions independently.
