Qualifications

• 3+ years of software experience, 1+ year in LLM/AI apps.
• Proficient in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, pgvector) and embeddings pipelines.
• Familiar with model APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) and locally hosted models (Ollama).
• Strong backend design and data parsing skills.

We are looking for an AI Engineer to design and implement LLM integrations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and intelligent agent workflows for start-up products.

About the Role

We are looking for an AI Engineer to design and implement LLM integrations, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, and intelligent agent workflows for start-up products.

Core Responsibilities

• 1 Build, optimize, and deploy LLM applications using LangChain, Genkit, or LlamaIndex.
• 2 Design and maintain RAG pipelines utilizing vector databases and semantic indexing.
• 3 Fine-tune prompt structures, select models, and manage system temperature parameters for consistency.
• 4 Integrate AI agent tools, webhook actions, and memory systems into backend applications.
• 5 Benchmark AI generation speeds, cost structures, and guardrail metrics.

What You'll Do

• Architect and build intelligent agents and search tools into business applications.
• Collaborate with the database and backend leads to store semantic logs securely.
• Optimize prompt latency and token consumption metrics.
• Advise startup clients on choosing model architectures and managing API cost maps.

What We're Looking For

• An engineer who understands prompt engineering, token limits, context sizes, and agent tool execution loops.
• Passion for building production-ready, deterministic solutions using non-deterministic models.

What You Bring

• 3+ years of software experience with 1+ years dedicated to LLM and AI applications.
• Expert programming skills in Python or TypeScript.
• Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Chroma, pgvector) and embeddings pipelines.
• Familiarity with model APIs (OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) and locally hosted models (Ollama).
• Strong understanding of backend application design and data parsing formats.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Contributions to Genkit, LangChain, or agentic frameworks.
• Familiarity with fine-tuning techniques or open-weights model quantization.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face).
