YourStory Media's Nucleus AI desk is hiring an AI Content Executive to bridge AI tools with human workflow: research, draft, add visuals, and publish-ready output under tight deadlines.

You'll use Claude, ChatGPT, and other prompts, generate images with Midjourney or DALL-E, edit with Canva, and fact-check against primary sources before submission. Shifts cover breaking news to long explainers, with defined turnaround times.

Responsibilities

About The Role

YourStory runs the Nucleus AI content desk — a system that combines AI tools with human execution to produce timely, high-quality content. We're hiring an AI Content Executive to be the human hands on this pipeline: someone who can pick up an assignment, use our AI tools to research and draft it, add visuals, and get it publish-ready fast. What You’ll Do Day-to-day

• Use AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Perplexity) to research the topic
• Draft the article using our existing templates and prompt frameworks
• Generate relevant images using AI image tools (Midjourney / DALL-E / Ideogram)
• Do basic image editing and layout work in Canva
• Fact-check every claim in the AI-generated draft against primary sources before submitting
• Submit publish-ready drafts within these turnaround times:
  • Breaking news: 30 minutes
  • Trend pieces and short explainers: 1-2 hours
  • Longer explainers and features: same day
• Monitor news and social platforms during your shift to flag trending topics
• Incorporate editor feedback quickly and cleanly
• Be responsive during major news cycles (defined shift hours, not 24/7)

What We’re Looking For

Must have

• Strong written English — clean grammar, tight sentences, no fluff
• Comfort with AI tools (you've used ChatGPT / Claude regularly and know how to prompt)
• Ability to work fast without sacrificing accuracy
• Basic Canva skills (resizing, text overlays, simple layouts)
• Strong fact-checking instinct — you don't trust AI output blindly
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Nice to have

• 1-2 years in digital media, journalism, or content writing
• Portfolio of published work (blog posts, articles, newsletters — anything shows you can write)
• Basic understanding of what makes a good headline
• Experience with AI image generation tools
• Curiosity about how AI content workflows are built (not required to be technical — just interested in learning)
