Job summary

HCL Technologies Limited in India is seeking an AI & Automation Engineer to modernize and automate enterprise network operations using network automation, AI/AIOps, infrastructure-as-code, and self-healing technologies. The role requires hands-on Aruba networking, Palo Alto security, and scripting with Python/Ansible/Terraform to drive automation across large global environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
• Hands-on experience with Aruba networking solutions in large/global environments.
• Expertise in Palo Alto security platforms and security workflows.
• Experience in network automation and scripting with REST APIs.
• Ability to design and implement Infrastructure-as-Code for network environments.
• Experience building AI/AIOps-based network troubleshooting and observability workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions for enterprise network infrastructure.
• Automate network configuration, provisioning, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Build automation frameworks for Aruba CX Switches, Aruba Wireless, and Aruba ClearPass.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for network environments.
• Build automation using Python, Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, REST APIs, and GitOps.
• Design and automate Palo Alto firewall policies, rule validation, security compliance, and security workflows.
• Implement automation for Panorama, NGFW, GlobalProtect, URL Filtering, DNS Security, and Threat Prevention.
• Develop AI/AIOps-based network troubleshooting and operational workflows.
• Implement anomaly detection, proactive alerting, and predictive analytics.
• Build automated monitoring and observability across Aruba Central, Palo Alto Panorama, SIEM, and infrastructure monitoring systems.
• Develop self-healing network capabilities to automatically detect and remediate network faults.
• Integrate network platforms with ServiceNow, CMDB, monitoring, security, asset management, and AI platforms.
• Build self-service capabilities for common network requests.
• Develop AI agents and Copilot solutions for network operations.
• Support NOC teams through intelligent troubleshooting and automation.
• Implement predictive analytics for capacity, bandwidth, hardware lifecycle, and operational risks.
• Automate network health dashboards and SLA/KPI reporting.
• Automate configuration drift detection and compliance reporting.
• Automate port and wireless issue remediation.
• Automate certificate renewal and configuration backup validation.
• Improve network availability and reduce MTTR through automated remediation.
• Support Zero Trust, NAC, network segmentation, and micro-segmentation initiatives.
• Drive standardization and governance of network automation.
• Reduce repetitive/manual network administration activities.
