Job summary

Alike Thoughts is seeking a Network Automation Developer to design, develop, and implement automation across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and Data Center environments. The role focuses on provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring using IaC practices and CI/CD pipelines.

You will maintain code repos, create standardized templates, and collaborate with Architects, Security, and Cloud Engineers to drive automation-first outcomes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Python and Ansible automation experience.
• Experience with Terraform and API-based automation.
• Proficient in network automation across LAN/WAN/WLAN/SD-WAN.
• Experience with IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Exposure to Cisco DNA Center/NSO/ACI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement network automation solutions for LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN and Data Center environments.
• Automate network provisioning, configuration management, compliance validation and monitoring activities.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and scripts to improve operational efficiency.
• Integrate network devices with automation and orchestration platforms.
• Maintain source code repositories and version control processes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using industry-standard tools.
• Develop automated deployment and configuration management workflows.
• Create standardized templates for network configurations and deployments.
• Support CI/CD pipelines for network automation initiatives.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks and incident resolution workflows.
• Assist in troubleshooting complex network and automation-related issues.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for automation failures.
• Support network lifecycle management activities.
• Develop automated compliance and audit reporting solutions.
• Build monitoring dashboards and alerting mechanisms.
• Ensure network configurations comply with security and governance standards.
• Automate configuration backup and recovery procedures.
• Work closely with Network Architects, SMEs, Security Teams and Cloud Engineers.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs and automation runbooks.
• Train and mentor operations teams on automation tools and processes.
• Participate in project planning, implementation and technology evaluations.
