Job summary

Cognizant in India seeks an experienced software engineer to lead AI platform initiatives, focusing on GCP-based scalable systems and AI-driven architectures.

You will work with LLMs, embeddings, and RAG architectures, collaborating with multiple model providers and using LangChain/LangGraph, with attention to security and DevOps implications.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with GCP and Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery.
• Experience with distributed systems and scalable platform design.
• Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, and RAG architectures.
• Experience working with multiple model providers / ecosystems.
• Familiarity with agent frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph, and related security & DevOps concerns.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of AI/ML platforms leveraging GCP services.
• Design scalable distributed systems for AI workloads.
• Work with LLMs, embeddings, RAG architectures, and multi-provider model ecosystems.
• Apply agent frameworks like LangChain / LangGraph in production.

Role & responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience with AI governance / responsible AI practices
• Familiarity with enterprise-scale AI platforms or shared developer platforms
• Retail or domain experience (digital, marketing, operations)
