Job summary

Aditya Birla Group seeks a WCM Champion to drive world-class manufacturing practices across the unit. You will plan, monitor and train to institutionalize the WCM roadmap and sustain continuous improvement.

You will form and review WCM structures, benchmark best practices, lead targeted projects, and act as a change agent to deliver tangible gains. Strong coordination with leadership and hands-on delivery are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, monitor, guide and review teams to implement the WCM roadmap and institutionalize WCM processes in the Unit.
• Form and review WCM structure (Steering committee, SCs, Operating Teams, CFTs).
• Assist in target setting for these teams.
• Review effectiveness of sub-committees and operating teams.
• Equip teams with analytical tools and design training materials.
• Plan annual training programs for operating teams.
• Identify and gather benchmarking data for WCM processes to improve targets and objectives.
• Consolidate and customize benchmarking data and furnish information at various levels.
• Facilitate implementation and monitor progress.
• Lead specific projects to drive process improvement with tangible benefits.
• Apply problem solving tools (VA/VA studies) and address losses as per organizational needs.
• Be a change agent and support creation of a competitive environment to achieve excellence.
• Plan, design and deploy various reward and recognition schemes.
• Coordinate with top management for continuous improvements.
• Ensure continuous assessment on the WCM model for competitive advantage; identify gaps and plan actions.

KRA1 Accountability

To plan, monitor, guide, train and review the teams to ensure implementation of WCM Roadmap across the organization & institutionalize WCM processes in the Unit

• Formation and review of WCM Structure (Steering committee, SCs, Operating Teams, CFTs)
• Assist in target setting of these teams
• Review for effectiveness of the Sub committees and Operating Teams
• Equipping the teams with Analytical Tools
• Design the training and reading material
• Plan for annual training program for operating Teams

KRA2 Benchmarking and Vision

KRA3 Lead Specific Projects

Lead Specific Projects through to drive process improvement resulting into tangible benefits

• Problem Solving Tools VA-NVA studies
• As per Organization Needs and requirements on specific Losses

KRA4 Change Agent

Be a change agent and support creation of competitive environment for the teams so as to achieve excellence

• Plan, Design and deploy Various Reward and Recognition Schemes
• Management of Model Areas
• Co-ordination with Top Management for continuous improvements

KRA5 Continuous Assessment

To ensure continuous Assessment on the WCM Model for Competitive Advantage for identifying gaps

• Plan for assessment
