About the Role
We are looking for skilled Agri Drone Pilots to join our Operations team. You will operate agricultural spray drones and carry out safe, efficient and high-quality spray missions.
The role involves coordinating with assistants and co-pilots, farmers, local teams and supervisors, while making sure drones are handled and maintained properly, safety is upheld and SUIND’s operational SOPs are followed.
You will get hands‑on experience with Bumblebee, a vision‑led autonomous agricultural drone designed for pilot‑friendly operation, intelligent flight assistance and simplified SOPs for efficient daily field work.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate agricultural spray drone missions as per the assigned schedule and operational plan.
- Carry out pre‑flight and post‑flight checks before and after every operation.
- Plan missions and configure the appropriate flight and spraying parameters.
- Operate Bumblebee safely and efficiently during spray operations.
- Manage drone batteries, chargers, payload systems and operational accessories.
- Coordinate with Assistants / Co‑Pilots on field preparation, refilling, battery management and efficient spraying.
- Coordinate with farmers and local teams on field identification, site marking, operation scheduling and customer communication.
- Support field demonstrations and promotional activities when required.
- Maintain a high standard of flight safety, protecting people, crops, equipment and surrounding areas.
- Follow approved operating timings and weather conditions for safe and effective spraying.
- Carry out basic drone maintenance and troubleshooting, and elevate technical issues to the Supervisor, Technician or Technical Support team when required.
- Maintain accurate flight logs, spray records, area coverage, battery usage and operational data through the assigned web or app dashboard.
- Report technical issues, operational challenges, accidents, incidents and other field observations promptly.
- Collect payments from farmers and customers where assigned, and make sure they are remitted on time as per company SOP.
- Keep the assigned drone, batteries, accessories and other company equipment in good working condition.
- Follow all applicable DGCA regulations, safety requirements and SUIND operational SOPs.
- Support other field activities, demonstrations, training and operational requirements as assigned.
Team Structure
Each drone is operated by a Pilot and an Assistant / Co‑Pilot, which keeps field execution smooth, safe and efficient.
The Pilot is responsible for drone operation, flight safety, mission execution and overall flight‑related decisions. The Assistant / Co‑Pilot supports field preparation, payload and refilling, battery handling, farmer coordination and other ground activities.
Requirements
- 1 to 4 years of hands‑on experience in agricultural drone operations or spray operations.
- Practical experience operating agricultural spray drones.
- Familiarity with a Ground Control Station (GCS) or mission‑planning software such as QGroundControl, Mission Planner or similar platforms.
- Basic understanding of agricultural spraying practices and agrochemical handling.
- Good understanding of drone safety, pre‑flight checks, battery management and basic troubleshooting.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural, agricultural and cluster‑based operations across India.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in challenging field conditions.
- Physically fit and able to work flexible operational hours based on field requirements.
- Valid two‑wheeler and four‑wheeler driving licence: mandatory.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a field operations team.
Education
Diploma / ITI / Graduate, with Agriculture or technical fields preferred.
Preferred
- Experience operating agricultural spraying drones in plantation, horticulture or challenging terrain.
- Experience with Bumblebee or similar agricultural drones.
- Basic drone troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Experience working with operations dashboards or digital field‑reporting systems.
- Experience coordinating with farmers and local field teams.
- Willingness to learn new drone technologies and operational procedures.
