Job summary

Vodafone Idea Limited is seeking a TL Transport Projects in Patna to lead transmission project rollouts, manage budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams across technology and operations. The role emphasizes delivering on time with quality, overseeing OFC deployments and IP network projects in the circle.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in telecom project delivery, strong PM and vendor management skills, and deep knowledge of DWDM and MPLS networks.

Qualifications

• Graduation in engineering is essential.
• 3–7 years in telecom field projects/operations.
• Experience in transmission network rollout and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of DWDM, PTN, SDH and IP/MPLS technologies.
• Strong logistics, inventory and compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Rollout of Transmission Projects (Access PTN, Circle DWDM, Metro DWDM, NLD DWDM).
• Rollout of IP projects in Access, Aggregation & Core layers.
• Lit up new OFC POPs with planned equipment.
• Coordinate with SCM for timely material delivery to sites.
• Ensure projects complete per schedule, budget, and quality.

Job Purpose

• Responsible for all the transmission and IP projects rollout of the circle
• Achieving the Transmission Projects budget Spent as per target
• Transportnetwork capacity and coverage expansion as per plan
• Transportreadiness for site rollout
• Key Result

Areas/Accountabilities

• Responsible for Rollout of all the Transmission Projects such as Access PTN, Circle DWDM, Metro DWDM, NLD DWDM etc.
• Responsible for Rollout of IP Projects of the circle in Access, Aggregation & Core layer.
• Responsible for lit up of the new OFC POPs of the circle by deploying planned equipment.
• Coordination with SCM team, Equipment Supply vendors for timely materials delivery in Warehouse and site and Coordination with Circle and Infrastructure support team for Sites RFI from IP Service providers (Indus, ATC, Bharti Infratel etc.) and timely Project completion, Capex Spending as per Budgetary Plan.
• Completion of Transmission projects as per schedule, cost and quality.
• Transmission readiness for new sites Rollout as per the business plan & Services Provisioning as per requirement
• Capex Spending as per the budgetary plan and Utilization of Planned Inventory

Core Competencies

Knowledge, Experience

• 3-7 years of Telecom domain experience in field projects & operations.
• Strong Project Management & Program Management Expertise Transmission Network Rollout
• Driving Vendors, Field Team and Circle Teams for timely Project Completion.
• Good Knowledge and understanding of TransportNetwork Technologies & Topologies of both Optics (DWDM, PTN, SDH) and IP (Internet protocol) / MPLS Etc.
• Handling change management, Material logistics & Inventory management.
• 100% compliance to Vodafone HSW policies and procedures.
• Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Essential: Graduation – B.E. /B. tech.
• Desired: work ex: 7 - 10 years
