• Hands-on ERP/SAP MM, Oracle SCM, or TallyPrime experience and strong inventory control knowledge.

Position Overview
Bharat Green Recycling & Renewables Limited is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant General Manager (AGM) Stores to lead inward storekeeping, engineering spares custody, consumable inventory, and yard storage operations at our Paonta Sahib manufacturing facility.
The AGM Stores will hold full operational ownership of inventory custody, storage optimization, material issuance, scrap segregation, and system stock reconciliation. The role requires close coordination with Plant Production, Maintenance, Quality, and Central/Local Procurement to eliminate production downtime caused by material shortages, maintain 100% stock accuracy in the ERP system, and implement robust material handling, preservation, and internal audit controls.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inward Logistics & Material Receipt
   
   • Direct gate entry verification, weighbridge reconciliation, unloading, and staging for all incoming consignments:
   • Raw Materials: Stainless steel melting scrap, ingots, billets, HR/CR master coils, and raw pipe shells.
   • Consumables & Spares: Refractories, mill rolls, lubricants/cutting oils, electrical/mechanical spares, pickling acids/chemicals, grinding wheels, and packaging materials.
   • Manage the Goods Receipt Note (GRN) workflow in ERP, ensuring physical inspection, chemical/physical test clearance from Quality Control (QC), and vendor delivery challan reconciliations are completed within defined turnaround times.
   • Coordinate rejected material handling, debits, vendor return gate passes, and replacement follow-ups in close coordination with Local and Corporate Procurement.
2. Inventory Control & ERP Reconciliation
   
   • Maintain real-time stock ledger accuracy across all plant sub-stores (Raw Material Yard, Engineering Spares Store, Consumables Store, Scrap Yard).
   • Enforce Min-Max levels, Reorder Points (ROP), and Safety Stock levels for critical plant operational spares and consumables to prevent stockouts while optimizing working capital.
   • Conduct continuous cycle counts, monthly reconciliations, and bi-annual/annual full physical stock verifications alongside Internal and Statutory Audit teams; investigate and resolve book-to-physical variances.
   • Categorize and review inventory using ABC, VED and FSN analyses; identify and report slow-moving, non-moving, and obsolete (SLOB) items with concrete salvage or liquidation plans.
3. Material Storage, Preservation & Issuance
   
   • Design and implement scientific warehouse layouts, 5S standards, racking systems, bin allocation, and barcode/QR identification tags across all storage bays.
   • Ensure proper preservation of critical spares, sensitive instrumentation, and materials against weather, rust, acid fumes, or physical handling damage.
   • Supervise disciplined material issuance against approved Material Requisitions / Job Orders on a FIFO (First-In, First-Out) basis.
   • Manage hazardous material storage (pickling acids, industrial gases, furnace oils) ensuring mandatory safety measures, MSDS adherence, and spillage containment protocols.
4. Scrap Yard Management & Returnable Material Tracking
   
   • Oversee collection, segregation, and weighment of production process scrap (shearing scrap, end-cuttings, rolling scale, rejected mother pipes) and maintain heat-wise/grade-wise scrap accounting for furnace remelting or disposal.
   • Track Returnable Gate Passes (RGP) and Non-Returnable Gate Passes (NRGP) for plant equipment, rolls, and spares sent out for machining, calibration, or motor rewinding, ensuring strict adherence to return timelines.
5. Team Leadership & System Audits
   
   • Lead and supervise storekeepers, yard supervisors, crane operators, forklift drivers, and material handlers.
   • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all shifts, ensuring zero safety incidents during heavy lifting and yard handling.
   • Provide routine Management Information System (MIS) reporting on stock valuation, non-moving inventories, pending GRNs, and consumption trends to the GM Commercial and Corporate Management.

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Science (B.Sc), Commerce (B.Com), or Engineering (Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Metallurgy).
• Post-Graduate Diploma / MBA in Materials Management or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
• Experience:
• 1216 years of hands-on stores and warehouse management experience in heavy manufacturing, with at least 35 years at a Senior Manager / Manager level.
• Essential industry background: Steel Melting Shops (SMS), Stainless Steel Rolling Mills, Tube/Pipe Mills, or Heavy Engineering Fabrication.
• Technical & System Skills:
• Hands-on proficiency in ERP platforms (SAP MM module, Oracle SCM, or TallyPrime).
• In-depth knowledge of inventory management methodologies (ABC/VED/FSN, FIFO, 5S, Kaizen).
• Solid understanding of weighbridge operations, metallurgical grade differentiation, and traceability marking systems.
• Key Competencies:
• High personal integrity and strict adherence to internal audit controls.
• Strong team supervision and contractor-labor management skills.
