Job summary

Time Hack Consulting is seeking an Assistant General Manager (GM) of Procurement to lead and optimize procurement across the organization. The role demands strategic sourcing, aggressive cost reduction, supplier management, and risk mitigation to ensure timely delivery and quality.

The successful candidate will mentor a team of procurement professionals, implement best-in-class practices, and collaborate with operations, finance, and R&D to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive procurement strategies and policies that support the company's overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Lead and mentor a team of procurement specialists, fostering a high-performance culture, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Oversee the entire vendor management lifecycle, including vendor identification, qualification, selection, negotiation of contracts, and ongoing performance monitoring.
  • Drive aggressive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, value analysis, and long-term agreements while maintaining quality standards.
  • Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, including geopolitical, economic, and operational risks, to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Establish and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., Operations, Finance, R&D).
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
  • Implement and optimize procurement processes and systems, leveraging technology (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms) to enhance efficiency and transparency.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on procurement performance, savings achieved, market trends, and supplier performance to senior management.
  • Develop and manage the procurement budget, ensuring adherence to financial targets.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new suppliers, technologies, and opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
  • Negotiate complex contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure favorable agreements for the company.
  • Oversee inventory management strategies in collaboration with supply chain and operations teams to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
