Role Description

The Agency Advisor role is a full-time, on‑site position based in Jammu. The Agency Advisor will be responsible for prospecting and acquiring new customers, understanding their financial protection and savings needs, and recommending suitable life insurance solutions from Axis Max Life Insurance Limited’s portfolio. The role includes managing and servicing existing customers, conducting regular follow‑ups, and supporting policy renewals to ensure high levels of retention and satisfaction. The Agency Advisor will collaborate with branch teams, participate in sales campaigns and local marketing initiatives, and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities. This role requires consistent fieldwork, meeting customers in person, and adhering to regulatory and company compliance standards.

Qualifications

• Strong customer engagement and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to understand financial needs and explain solutions clearly.
• Sales and negotiation abilities, including prospecting, closing deals, and meeting or exceeding assigned sales and activity targets.
• Basic financial literacy and comfort with life insurance concepts, protection plans, and long‑term savings products.
• Good communication skills in spoken and written English and local languages, with professional presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field, manage time effectively, and maintain organized records and documentation.
• Prior experience in insurance, banking, financial services, or direct sales is preferred but not mandatory.
• Minimum educational qualification: typically a bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent, as per regulatory norms.
• Willingness to comply with all regulatory requirements, complete mandated training, and uphold high ethical and professional standards.
