Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced AEM FullStack Developer (Backend+Frontend) to drive the design and implementation of AEM components, templates, and workflows using AEM Cloud Service.

You will collaborate with UX/UI designers, content authors, and backend teams to deliver engaging digital experiences, configure Dispatcher, and contribute to CI/CD deployments with Maven, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. 5–6 years of hands-on AEM development is required.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of hands-on AEM development experience (AEM 6.5 / Cloud Service).
• Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, HTL/Sightly.
• Front-end skills: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or Angular.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, XML integrations.
• Experience with AEM Cloud Manager, Dispatcher configurations, multi-site management.
• Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Context Aware Configurations.
• Familiar with AEM GraphQL APIs and Git, Maven, Jenkins.
• Agile methodologies; Jira/Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate custom OSGi bundles, servlets, and Sling models.

• Configure and manage AEM Dispatcher and caching for performance optimization.
• Work closely with DevOps and Cloud teams to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of AEM environments.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and scalability standards.

Key Responsibilities

Required Skills and Experience

• 5–6 years of hands-on experience in AEM development (AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, Sightly/HTL.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or Angular).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML-based integrations.
• Experience with AEM Cloud Manager, Dispatcher configurations, Multi-site Management and content replication.
• Experience with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Context Aware Configurations.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS concepts and AEM GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Jenkins).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative tools (Jira, Confluence).

Preferred Qualifications

• Adobe Certified Expert – AEM Sites Developer .
