Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced AEM FullStack Developer to design, build, and maintain AEM components, templates, and workflows in a cloud-based environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable digital experiences and ensure secure, performant deployments.

Preferred expertise includes AEM Cloud Service, Dispatcher, and headless CMS concepts, with a strong foundation in Java and modern front-end technologies such as React or Angular.

Qualifications

• 5-6 years of hands-on experience in AEM development (AEM 6.5 and AEM as a Cloud Service preferred).
• Strong proficiency in Java, OSGi, Sling, Sightly/HTL.
• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or Angular).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and XML-based integrations.
• Experience with AEM Cloud Manager, Dispatcher configurations, Multi-site Management and content replication.
• Experience with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, Context Aware Configurations.
• Familiarity with Headless CMS concepts and AEM GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven, Jenkins).
• Working knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaborative tools (Jira, Confluence).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, blocks, workflows, and services using AEM Cloud Service.
• Implement AEM Sites, Assets, Frontend Modules and Forms modules to deliver engaging digital experiences.
• Develop and integrate custom OSGi bundles, servlets, and Sling models using Java and AEM APIs.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers, content authors, and backend teams to ensure seamless user experiences.
• Configure and manage AEM Dispatcher and caching mechanisms for performance optimization.
• Work closely with DevOps and Cloud teams to automate deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Maven, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of AEM environments.
• Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and scalability standards.
