Job summary

Optum India in Hyderabad is seeking a senior Cloud Architect to lead vision and strategy for cloud modernization across client environments. You will drive architecture decisions for hybrid deployments and oversee complex, high-visibility projects.

The ideal candidate has 14+ years in IT, including 10+ years in consulting with top firms, and deep experience in Azure, AWS or GCP, data engineering, AI, and security in healthcare. You will craft client-ready materials and guide deployment patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
• 14+ years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in consulting with top 4 firms.
• 10+ years in infrastructure management, application design, architecture, or delivery.
• 8+ years of digital transformation across broad business areas.
• 5+ years of legacy modernization and cloud application modernization.
• 5+ years of experience on Azure cloud as primary.
• 3+ years on AWS or GCP.
• Experience in data engineering, AI, and process improvement.
• Experience in production AI applications and AI agents/workflows.
• Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements (HIPAA, PHI, PII).
• Point-of-view documents and client-facing assets.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Cloud subject matter expert on Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, and related technologies.
• Develop cloud strategy, data modernization strategy, architecture, and roadmaps.
• Architect for cloud and data domains, including migration of apps to cloud.
• Design client-ready materials and lead strategy discussions with clients.
• Generate architecture solutions leveraging public, private, or hybrid clouds.
• Experience in cloud automation, monitoring, and optimization.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as the Cloud subject matter expert on Cloud, Enterprise Architecture, and related technologies
• Deep experience in developing vision and leading complex and high visibility projects
• Develop cloud strategy, cloud data modernization strategy, architecture, and infrastructure roadmaps for client organizations
• Serve as solution architect for cloud and data domains, covering new application development and migration of existing infrastructure and applications to cloud
• Design and prepare client-ready materials and present to clients, or facilitate cloud strategy and architecture discussions with clients
• Generate architecture solutions leveraging public, private, or hybrid cloud deployment patterns
• Experience in cloud automation, cloud monitoring, and cloud optimization

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related fields
• 14+ years of experience in IT, with at least 10 years in consulting with top 4 consulting organizations
• 10+ years of overall IT experience in infrastructure management, application design, architecture, or application delivery
• 8+ years of digital transformation experience across broad business areas and lines of business
• 5+ years of legacy modernization and cloud application modernization experience
• 5+ years of experience on Azure cloud as primary
• 3+ years on AWS or GCP
• Deep experience in areas adjacent to cloud including data engineering, AI, and process improvement
• Experience in designing and implementing production AI applications within customer environments and identifying repeatable deployment patterns
• Experience in designing and implementing AI agents, sub-agents, tools and agentic workflows
• Familiarity with sales processes and opportunity tracking and management
• Familiarity with latest trends in cloud and their relevance and use in healthcare
• Broad understanding of cloud-based security solutions and familiarity with healthcare-specific regulatory requirements including HIPAA, PHI, and PII
• Demonstrated ability to prepare point-of-view documents and other client-facing assets
