HARMAN Automotive is seeking an Advanced Engineer, Audio System Validation in Bengaluru. You will safeguard System Trust across the development lifecycle by applying deep DSP knowledge to validate algorithms, detect regressions, and ensure performance standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Validate DSP algorithms and system-level audio processing (white-box).
• Design structured signal-based validation scenarios.
• Identify artifacts, regression, latency, and instability; translate findings into actionable feedback.
• Define measurable validation criteria aligned with System Trust standards.
• Collaborate with developers to integrate validation checks into CI environments.
• Support final validation with root-cause analysis and guardrails evolution.

About the Role

As a Advanced Engineer, Audio System Validation, you are responsible for safeguardingSystem Trustacross the technology development lifecycle.
You apply deepDSP and system-level expertiseto validatealgorithmic correctness, detectregressionrisks, and ensure thatmeasurable performance standardsare met throughout development and prior to release.
Operating within the EPIC Validation Team, you contribute primarily byembedding technical validation and automated guardrails directly into development workflows.

What You Will Do

• Performwhite-box validationofDSP algorithmsandsystem-level audio processing.
• Design and executestructuredsignal-based validation scenarios.
• Detectartifacts, performanceregression, latency issues, andalgorithmic instability.
• Define measurable validation criteriaaligned with System Trust standards.
• Collaborate with developers tointegrate repeatable validation checks into CI environments.
• Analyzecomplex technical findingsandtranslate them into actionable engineering feedback.
• Supportfinal validationby providingtechnical root-cause analysiswhen required.
• Contribute to theevolution of automated guardrailsandregression protection strategies
  

What You Need to Be Successful

• Strong background (5+ years) in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), audio algorithms, or embedded audio systems
• Academic backgroundwith a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Sound Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Signal Processing or equivalent
• Solid understanding ofsoftware development workflows and integration environments
• Experience performingwhite-box technical validation and root-cause analysis.
• Ability toindependentlysolve moderately complex technical problems.
• Stronganalytical thinking and structured documentation skills
• Ability tocommunicate technical findings clearly to cross-functional teams

• Experience integrating automated validation intoCI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity withperformance testing in embedded systems
• Exposure toperceptual audio implicationsof DSP decisions
• Experience inautomotive or resource-constrained systems.
• Knowledge ofmeasurement tools and signal analysis environments
• Validdriver’s license
• Proficiency inon site native language
