Applications are invited from suitable candidates (Indian Citizens) for one position Research Associate-Iunder the DBT Project titled “Human Brain Organoids in space as a transformative model to understandNeurodegeneration”, to work in the laboratory of Dr. Karthika Rajeeve, Scientist E I at Rajiv Gandhi Centrefor Biotechnology (BRIC-RGCB), Thiruvananthapuram.

Essential Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biotechnology

Desirable Qualifications

Research experience in Human cell culture, molecular and cellular biology, disease-relevant in vitro models,3D culture and organoid biology, with exposure to stem cell/iPSC- based models, bioengineering approaches,and advanced imaging. Proficiency in experimental design, quantitative data analysis, scientific writing,and manuscript preparation, with interdisciplinary research experience and at least one first-author peer-reviewed publication.

Age

40 years as on November 16, 2026. Age relaxation will be given as per Govt. of India norms.

Duration

Initially for a period of two years or till termination of the project whichever is earlier

Selection Process

• Selection to the position will not entitle the candidate to any future positions at RGCB (permanent or otherwise). As with all project positions at RGCB, the position will be co terminus with end of the project.
