Job summary

EY Bengaluru invites an experienced Senior professional to lead Accounts Payable processing, reporting and team oversight. You’ll drive end-to-end AP activities, ensure timely month-close and mentor the team for continuous improvement.

The role requires strong IFRS/US GAAP knowledge, solid Excel and ERP experience (SAP, MS NAV, MS Dynamics), and a track record of delivering process efficiencies in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• End-to-end knowledge of accounts payable and related processes.
• Understanding of IFRS and US GAAP accounting.
• Experience in process gap analysis and delivery management.

Responsibilities

• Support AP invoice processing and ensure timely processing.
• Support discussions, understand accounting, and monitor daily team activity.
• Generate reports and conduct regular team meetings to address issues.
• Ensure smooth month end closure with minimal invoice backlog.
• Manage backup planning and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Review and update process documentation and checklists.
• Work on file sanitization and initial automation/efficiencies.
• Support CW deployment and troubleshooting.
• Attend weekly calls and track/close open items.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and process streamlining.

Job purpose

This role is responsible for processing Accounts Payable invoices, reporting and managing the team.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the Accounts Payable Invoice processing and capable of processing invoices.
• Supporting discussions, understanding accounting, and monitoring daily activity of the team.
• Generate report and perform regular connect with the team to understand the issues and provide solution.
• Ensure smooth month end closure with minimal invoice backlog.
• Responsible of backup planning and knowledge transfer sessions.
• Review and update of process documentation, checklists etc.
• Working to sanitize the working files, initial automation/efficiencies etc.
• Support on CW deployment, troubleshooting etc.
• Attending weekly calls, tracking and closure of open items etc.
• Identify opportunity for improvement both from efficiency and process streamlining.

Functional & Technical skills

• End to end knowledge of Accounts Payable.
• Basic understanding of AP reporting process & KPI.
• Good knowledge of accounting processes, accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP)
• Experience in process gap analysis, transition and delivery management.
• Excellent knowledge of Excel, Power Point and ERP systems: SAP/MSNAV/MS Dynamic
• Very good work organization, initiative and commitment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be motivated, self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills
