Accounts Payable work is focused on administering, designing and ensuring compliance with accounts payable processes including:

• Invoice charge verification (including applicable discounts) vs. purchase orders
• Verification that goods and services purchased have been received
• Confirmation of purchase approval
• Payment authorization and processing
• Reconciliation of accounts payable ledgers to identify improper charges, validate transactions, and ensure accurate and timely payment of amounts due

Positions on this level have comprehensive knowledge of the specific discipline or the broader area in which the position operates. They execute specialized projects and activities and typically work according to set principles. Usually generate and initiate their own workload and do not need instructions or guidelines. They may supervise the work of less experienced professionals, providing expertise and taking responsibility for the end-product. Positions at this level are expected to significantly improve day‑to‑day activities/processes. They manage and oversee the implementation of short‑term activities within the team.
