Job summary

Torq Commodities in Navi Mumbai is seeking a candidate to maintain and manage business data in Excel. The role requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of accounting concepts.

The ideal candidate will assist in invoice reconciliations and support the finance team in preparing reports. A B.Com or BMS graduate is preferred, along with prior experience in data entry or reconciliation tasks.

Qualifications

• Good understanding of basic accounting concepts, including P&L and expenses.
• Prior experience in data entry or finance support is an advantage.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, update, and manage business data in Excel on a regular basis.
• Validate data accuracy and highlight discrepancies to the concerned team.
• Update receivables, payables, expense trackers, and other business MIS reports.
• Assist in invoice reconciliation and ensure data is matched correctly with supporting documents.
• Perform basic reconciliations between ERP reports, invoices, and Excel data.
• Support the finance/business team in preparing regular reports, summaries, and trackers.
• Ensure timely and accurate data entry with proper formatting and documentation.
• Coordinate with internal teams to collect, verify, and update required financial/business data.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, Power Query, and Dashboarding.
• Good understanding of basic accounting concepts, including P&L, receivables, payables, and expenses.
• Working knowledge of dashboard/reporting tools such as Power BI will be preferred.
• Basic understanding of ERP systems and invoice reconciliation.
• Good analytical ability with attention to detail.
• Strong data validation, reporting, and coordination skills.
• B.Com / BMS graduate from a reputed college preferred.
• Prior experience in data entry, MIS, finance support, or reconciliation will be an added advantage.
