Job summary

SOLARA Home is seeking a Finance Associate to manage day-to-day e-commerce financial operations. You will own marketplace remittance reconciliations, vendor billing, inventory accounting, GST/TDS compliance, and daily cash flow tracking, collab with supply chain, marketing, and warehousing teams.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in e-commerce finance, a B.Com or equivalent, and hands-on experience with Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Unicommerce, and ERP tools.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in financial operations within an e-commerce company or D2C brand.
• Experience in marketplace accounting and vendor settlements.
• Knowledge of GST/TDS compliance and ERP tools is a plus.

About the Role

At SOLARA Home, we build premium home and kitchen products designed for modern households, scaling rapidly across direct-to-consumer (D2C) channels and major marketplace platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, and Instamart.

We are looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Finance Associate with 24 years of experience to manage day-to-day e-commerce financial operations. In this role, you will own marketplace remittance reconciliations, vendor billing, inventory accounting, statutory compliance (GST/TDS), and daily cash flow tracking. You will work closely with supply chain, marketing, and warehouse operations to maintain financial accuracy and optimize business margins.

Key Responsibilities

1. Marketplace Settlement & Revenue Reconciliation

• Conduct daily and monthly payment reconciliations across major channels (Amazon, Flipkart, Quick Commerce platforms) and D2C website sales.
• Track, audit, and reconcile seller payout reports, deduction charges (commission, shipping fees, storage fees, pick-pack fees), and claim refunds (RTO returns, damaged stock, unlinked dispatches).
• Reconcile gateway settlements (Shopify, Razorpay, Cashfree) and resolve any revenue leakages or payment gateway mismatches.

2. Accounts Payable (AP) & Vendor Management

• Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP), including processing vendor invoices, 3PL logistics bills, and marketing agency payments.
• Monitor Goods Receipt / Invoice Receipt (GRIR) accounts, verify 3-way matching (PO vs. GRN vs. Invoice), and track vendor aging schedules to optimize cash outflow.
• Reconcile vendor ledgers and manage vendor queries/payment cycles.

3. Statutory Compliance & Audit Support

• Ensure strict adherence to statutory tax compliance, including GST return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation), TDS/TCS calculations, and IRN invoice generation.
• Maintain compliance with e-commerce TCS/TDS deductions by platforms.
• Assist internal, statutory, and tax auditors by compiling backup schedules, audit trails, and financial statements.

4. Inventory Accounting & Cost Control

• Perform monthly inventory reconciliations between ERP/WMS systems, warehouse physical counts, and FBA stock reports.
• Monitor land-costing of imported/manufactured kitchen appliances, inventory shrinkage, and write-offs.

5. MIS Reporting & Cash Flow Tracking

• Prepare daily cash flow reports, liquidity updates, and operational expense trackers for senior management.
• Assist in preparing monthly MIS packages, P&L variance analysis (Actuals vs. Budget), CAC/ROAS profitability tracking, and margin analysis by product SKU.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Experience: 2-4 years of hands-on experience in financial operations, marketplace accounting, or commercial finance within an e-commerce company, D2C brand, retail startup, or FMCG setup, and the ability to work with AI tools.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent professional background (Semi-Qualified CA / CMA preferred).
• Marketplace Expertise: Proven working knowledge of e-commerce settlement reports (Amazon Seller Central, Flipkart Seller Hub, Quick Commerce platforms).
• Software Tools: High proficiency in accounting software/ERPs (Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Unicommerce, SAP/ Oracle Net suite).
• Advanced Excel: Master-level skills in MS Excel / Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, and handling large raw data files).
• Compliance & Systems: GST (GSTR-1, 2B, 3B), TDS/TCS Compliance, IRN Generation, Tally Prime, Zoho Books, Unicommerce, Shopify Analytics, Amazon Seller Central, Advanced MS Excel
• Soft Skills: High Attention to Detail, Numerical Accuracy, Problem Solving, Cross-functional Communication, Ability to Handle Startup Pace
