Qualifications

• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience covering GL, AR, revenue, reconciliations, and close.
• At least 1 year in supervisory or team-lead capacity.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
• SOX-compliant or public-company environment experience preferred.
• Big 4 experience and CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills and ERP/reporting systems proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review AR reconciliations and subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare Rev 10 reports and supporting schedules with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review AR aging, unbilled balances, and other reconciling items.
• Investigate discrepancies across billing systems and ledgers.
• Prepare and review various journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support revenue accounting per US GAAP and company policy.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Billing, Finance and cross-functional teams to improve processes.
• Maintain documentation for journals, reconciliations, and close activities.
• Ensure internal controls and assist SOX testing/remediation.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during reviews and audits.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members; manage deliverables and deadlines.
• Develop accounting procedures and improve reporting and controls.

We’re Hiring: Accounting Supervisor – General Ledger, Revenue & Accounts Receivable

Work Mode: Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee assigned monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Prepare and review accounts receivable reconciliations, including subledger-to-general-ledger reconciliations.
• Prepare and review Rev 10 reports and supporting schedules, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
• Review AR aging, unbilled balances, unapplied cash, unidentified receipts, credit balances, and other reconciling items.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies across billing systems, AR subledgers, revenue reports, and the general ledger.
• Prepare and review recurring, accrual, reclassification, adjustment, and correcting journal entries.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Support revenue accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP and company policies.
• Review unbilled and unposted transaction files and coordinate resolution of outstanding items.
• Partner with Revenue, Billing, Collections, Finance, and other cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes.
• Maintain appropriate supporting documentation for journal entries, reconciliations, management reviews, and close activities.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and support SOX testing and remediation.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Review team members’ work and provide coaching, technical guidance, and feedback.
• Prioritize team deliverables and monitor progress against close deadlines.
• Develop and maintain accounting procedures, reconciliation standards, and process documentation.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen controls, automate processes, and improve reporting.
• Provide management with clear analysis of account activity, unusual fluctuations, and key financial reporting matters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience covering GL, AR, revenue, reconciliations, and financial close.
• At least 1 year of supervisory, team-lead, or significant review experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, and financial reporting.
• Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing complex reconciliations and journal entries.
• Experience in a SOX-compliant or public-company environment strongly preferred.
• Big 4 experience preferred.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification preferred.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with ERP/reporting systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and people‑management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate work under tight deadlines.
