Jobgether partner company in India is seeking an Accounting Sr. Analyst to join the General Accounting team. You will own day-to-day close activities, prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheets, and provide clear variance analysis.

You will collaborate with auditors, tax professionals, and internal teams to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes process improvement and cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • This role requires a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience, ideally in a multinational company.
  • Solid understanding of journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close processes.
  • Strong English communication and ability to translate data into explanations.
  • Proficiency with Excel; Oracle experience is advantageous.

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Accounting Sr. Analyst based in India.

This role offers an opportunity to join a General Accounting team supporting core accounting activities and the monthly close process for the AMER region.
You will take ownership of day-to-day general accounting activities and financial responsibilities across an assigned area of responsibility.
The position involves preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing financial results, and providing clear variance commentary.
You will work closely with internal teams, auditors, and tax professionals to support accurate reporting and regulatory requirements.
The role also provides opportunities to identify process gaps, simplify accounting activities, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
You will help maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies while promoting consistent processes across regional and global operations.

Accountabilities
  • Manage monthly accounting close activities for the assigned area of responsibility, including preparing and posting accurate journal entries.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Analyze financial statements, general ledger activity, and account movements, providing clear written variance analysis and fluctuation commentary.
  • Participate in financial review activities and support the preparation of relevant analysis and explanations for material changes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing requested accounting information, documentation, and supporting materials throughout audit processes.
  • Work closely with the tax team to provide accurate and timely information required for tax submissions and related activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, simplification, and increased efficiency across accounting activities.
  • Partner with relevant business stakeholders to resolve exceptions, address identified gaps, and implement sustainable improvements.
  • Support ad hoc accounting projects and other initiatives as required by the General Accounting team.
  • Maintain compliance with corporate accounting policies and help ensure consistent accounting processes across regional and global operations.
Requirements
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or possess a relevant professional accounting qualification.
  • Bring at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably gained within an accounting firm or multinational corporation.
  • Have prior experience across monthly accounting cycles and procedures, including financial reporting activities.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, reconciliations, financial analysis, and period-end close processes.
  • Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to investigate issues and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong proficiency in English.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using Oracle and working with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements is an advantage.
  • Demonstrate strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Be results-oriented, flexible, enthusiastic, self-motivated, and comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
  • Be capable of working independently while communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at different levels of an organization.
