Job summary

Head Hunters is seeking a dynamic Accounts Manager in India to support manufacturing finance for US operations. The role requires CA with 6–10 years post-qualification experience and a strong grasp of US GAAP, cost and inventory accounting, and standard costing.

The successful candidate will collaborate with US-based stakeholders, drive internal controls, and lead ERP-driven improvements across SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics/NetSuite platforms. Strong Excel modelling and MIS reporting are essential.

Qualifications

  • CA with 6–10 years post-qualification experience.
  • 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to US accounting practices.
  • Hands-on experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance.
  • Experience working with US-based stakeholders or multinational manufacturing companies.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle in compliance with US GAAP and company policies.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Oversee General Ledger, journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and month-end/year-end closing.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, standard costing, BOM costing, overhead allocation, and variance analysis.
  • Analyze production costs, inventory movements, and plant performance to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, cost planning, and profitability analysis.
  • Coordinate with the US Finance team on reporting, compliance, audits, and financial planning.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with corporate financial policies.
  • Drive process improvements, ERP optimization, and automation initiatives.

About the Role

Our Client is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Manager to support its finance function from India while closely collaborating with the finance and leadership teams in the United States. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, coupled with a sound understanding of US accounting principles (US GAAP). This role requires excellent financial acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a global business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Minimum 4–5 years of experience in a manufacturing organization.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to US accounting practices.
  • Hands‑on experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing finance.
  • Experience working with US-based stakeholders or multinational manufacturing companies will be highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, or similar manufacturing ERP platforms.
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, financial modelling, and MIS reporting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in automotive, industrial manufacturing, engineering, electronics, precision components, or capital equipment industries.
  • Exposure to global finance operations, shared services, or multinational manufacturing environments.
  • Knowledge of SOX compliance, internal controls, and financial process improvements is an added advantage.
