- Manage daily activities across accounting functions, including general accounting, payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Oversee monthly balance-sheet reconciliations
- Perform and review general-ledger account reconciliations
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close and financial reporting
- Analyze, review, verify, and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records
- Investigate and correct accounting entries as needed
- Prepare and review reports and ad hoc analyses for internal and external purposes
- Support the accounts receivable process, ensuring billing accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain the billing system and generate and send invoices
- Maintain client invoicing and bill-payment records
- Monitor aging balances and assess collectability
- Ensure revenue recorded complies with US GAAP
- Assist internal and external auditors with periodic audits of financial records and statements
- Reconcile and adjust bank accounts to manage cash flow
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government and tax requirements
- Oversee, mentor, and support the growth of assigned Finance staff
- Administer departmental policies and procedures and evaluate results and performance
- Assist with developing budgets, strategic plans, and policies
- Perform special projects and other assigned duties
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, healthcare finance or related field preferred
- At least eight to ten years (8-10) in healthcare finance, accounting, treasury or related field
- Prior Management Experience preferred
- CPA preferred
- In-depth understanding of accounting and finance concepts and principles
- Ability to read, understand, and apply state/federal laws, regulations, and policies
- Strong leadership/management skills
- Strong presentation development and delivery skills
- Strong knowledge in accounting and/or finance
- Strong judgment and problem-solving skills
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
