Job summary

Couchbase is seeking an Accounting Analyst in Bengaluru to manage day-to-day finance and accounting processes, ensuring accurate records and timely reporting. The role involves general ledger activities, journal entries, reconciliations, and inter-company transactions.

You will support accounts payable, monthly and quarterly closing, and assist with audits, VAT/tax data, and NetSuite postings, while upholding corporate policies and US GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
• Chartered Accountant preferable.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Involved in General Accounting, which includes reconciliations, preparation of financial statements, analysis and reporting.
• To co-ordinate all accounting activities associated with the General Ledger, particularly journal entries, prepaid, fixed assets, inter-company, cash and bank.
• Manage Accounts Payable invoicing and employee claims.
• Help with the timely and accurate execution of accounting close (monthly and quarterly).
• Support in posting entries in NetSuite.
• Develop, maintain, and ensure complete accounting records for all transactions with adequate support, in auditable form, and in accordance with US GAAP.
• Assistance in preparation of audit PBCs in a timely manner.
• Support in collating data for local VAT and Tax filings for the International Subsidiaries.
• Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and suggest process improvements.
• Follow Corporate policies and procedures.
• Support the Senior Accounting Manager on projects and ad hoc tasks.
• Co-ordinate with US Finance teams and other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support.

Education
