Job summary

Corient Business Solutions in Mumbai is seeking an experienced accountant to finalize accounts for US-based clients, including P&L, Balance Sheet, annual accounts, and notes for client reporting.

You will reconcile bank and control accounts, review ledgers, and prepare tax returns, VAT sums, and debtors control. Strong English communication and 4–9 years in Indian audit/industry are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of finalization of accounts for entities like partnerships, companies, sole traders.
• 4–9 years experience in Indian Audit firm or industry.
• Knowledge of accounting systems.
• Good English communication skills (verbal and written).
• Analytical and logical thinking process.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel.
• Candidate should be comfortable working from office.

Responsibilities

• Finalize accounts for US-based clients including P&L, Balance Sheet, annual accounts, notes and client reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts, revenue and control accounts (VAT, PAYE/NIC) and determine sums due to/from HMRC.
• Perform ledger scrutiny and reclassify/rectify errors before finalization.
• Calculate corporation tax and prepare tax returns.
• Prepare VAT summaries, CT calculations and debtors control accounts.
• Quality control for on-time delivery and accuracy of work.
• Maintain client relationships and meet client expectations.

Role & responsibilities

• Finalization of accounts for US based companies includes preparation of Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Annual accounts statement, notes and reports to client as per US accounting guidelines.
• Reconciling the bank account, Revenue and other control accounts like VAT, PAYE/NIC and ascertaining the sum due to/from the HMRC (US government).
• Doing ledger scrutiny for all accounting heads and reclassifying/ rectifying the errors (if any) before finalization of account.
• Calculation of the corporation tax and preparation of tax return.
• Preparing VAT Summary, CT Calculation, Preparing Debtors Control accounts.
• Quality Control On time delivery & accuracy of work
• Maintaining client relationship & ensuring client expectations are meet.

Candidate Profile

• Through knowledge in finalization of accounts of entities like, partnerships, Companies, Sole trader etc.
• 4 to 9 years experience in Indian Audit firm / Industry
• Knowledge of Accounting Systems
• Good English Communication skills Verbal and written
