Job summary

Equinix is seeking an Accountant to apply professional accounting expertise across a moderate scope, performing monthly close activities and handling intercompany transactions with accuracy.

You will collaborate with data owners, auditors, and process managers to resolve accounting matters, prepare reconciliations, and support SEC/disclosures as needed, while applying general accounting principles.

Qualifications

• 1+ years experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and post journal entries & Intercompany transactions within a moderate scope.
• Performs Intercompany analysis.
• Prepares reconciliations.
• Executes SOX controls.
• Prepares PBC (Provided/prepared by Client).
• Prepares month end management reporting.
• Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters.
• As needed, may participate in moderate project work.
• Has a developed understanding and applies general accounting principles when accounting for transactions.

Responsibilities

Non-Standard Deal Review

• Prepares and post journal entries & Intercompany Company transactions within a moderate scope
• Performs Intercompany analysis
• Prepares reconciliations
• Executes SOX controls
• Prepares PBC (Provided/prepared by Client)

Disclosures and External Reporting

• Responsible for preparing any additional regional disclosures needed for Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) reporting

Management Reporting

• Prepares month end management reporting

Business Partnering

• Supports the partnership with upstream data owners, internal and external auditors, and Global Process Manager to solve a variety of accounting matters

Process Improvement

• As needed, may participate in moderate project work

Technical Accounting

• Has a developed understanding and applies general accounting principals when accounting for transactions
