Job summary

VRK LANDMARKS LLP in Pune is seeking an experienced purchase and accounts professional to manage day-to-day purchasing, vendor relationships, and related accounting entries. You will enter transactions in Tally, verify invoices, and support GST and TDS compliance with the accounts team.

The ideal candidate has a B.Com or equivalent with 3–5 years in purchasing and vendor reconciliation, and proficiency in Tally and MS Excel. This on-site role offers growth within the finance function.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities and maintain purchase registers.
• Enter purchase transactions in Tally and maintain accounting records.
• Verify invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and match with POs and delivery documents.
• Assist GST, TDS, and accounting processes with the accounts team.

Job description

Key Responsibilities.

1. Purchase & Vendor Management.

• Handle day-to-day purchase activities and prepare purchase register.
• Enter daily purchase transactions in Tally and maintain accurate purchase registers and accounting records.
• Ensure timely and accurate entry of purchase invoices, debit notes, credit notes, and related transactions.
• Regularly follow up with vendors for invoices, outstanding documents, and payment-related queries.
• Verify purchase invoices against purchase orders and delivery documents.
• Maintain proper vendor records and purchase documentation.

2. GST & 2B Reconciliation

• Basic knowledge of GSTR-2B reconciliation with the purchase register and books of accounts.
• Identify mismatches, missing invoices, and differences in GST amounts.
• Follow up with vendors for invoices not reflecting in GSTR-2B and for corrections in GST details.
• Assist in GST documentation and related compliance activities.
• Ensure proper recording and verification of GST invoices.

3. TDS & Accounting

• Basic knowledge of TDS provisions, applicable rates, deductions, and payment procedures.
• Assist with TDS calculations, deductions, and maintenance of related records.
• Verify purchase bills, expense invoices, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with the accounts team regarding vendor payments and outstanding balances.

4. Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.Com or a relevant qualification.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in purchase and accounts.
• Good knowledge of Tally and MS Excel with good typing speed and accuracy.
• Experience in purchase entries, invoice verification, and vendor ledger reconciliation.
