Job summary

Groupe Michelin is seeking an R2R Cash & Bank Analyst to support the Accounting Manager in cash and bank activities. The role ensures accurate posting, verification, and control of transactions within prescribed deadlines for financial statements.

The analyst will perform daily cash/bank accounting, reconciliations, and ensure GL entries comply with group standards and local regulations. Collaboration with internal stakeholders is essential for timely closing and reporting.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have practical knowledge of accounts receivable and payable processes.
• Experience with R2R (Record to Report) workflows and month-end close is preferred.
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts including provisioning, accruals and fixed assets accounting.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily accounting of cash and bank transactions and post related journal entries.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
• Ensure compliance of GL entries with Group and local norms and standard processes.
• Prepare and support closing transactions and reporting within deadlines.
• Reconcile accounts and justify figures before reviewers and internal controllers.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities with accuracy and timeliness.

Job description

MISSION : The accountant assists the Accounting Manager or the Accounting Cycle Analyst with Group and local norms accounting activities. He/She handles layout, entry, verification, control, quality and consistency of accounting transactions and accounts within his/her remit. He/She ensures these activities comply with Group referentials and relevant country's legislation and such information is available within prescribed deadlines for preparation of financial statements.

KEY EXPECTED ACHIEVEMENTS

• The R2R Cash & Bank Analyst is responsible for ensuring accurate accounting & reconciliation of cash & bank transactions, maintaining financial integrity, and supporting timely month-end & year-end closing activities. The role requires collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Performing daily accounting of cash & bank transactions. Prepare and post journal entries related to cash and banking activities. Complete daily, weekly, & monthly bank reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling items.
• Compliance of GL entries and transactions with Group and local norms, function allocation rules and standard processes.
• Accounts reconciliation and justification before reviewers, internal and external auditors and internal controllers.
• Closing transactions, program and reporting operated in compliance with closing deadlines and quality level expected.
• Understanding of Basic Accounting concepts, provisioning and accruals, fixed assets accounting Etc.
