Job summary

K. ARUNAGIRI & SONS CONSTRUCTION in Puducherry seeks an experienced Accountant for GST, ITR, TDS and project accounting for civil construction works. You will maintain day-to-day accounts, file GST returns, coordinate with auditors, and support tax filings.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience, strong Excel skills, familiarity with Tally Prime, and the ability to handle contracts and subcontractor payments for PWD projects.

Qualifications

• Must have 2–5 years of accounting experience in GST, ITR & construction projects.
• Knowledge of GST, ITR, TDS and accounting software is essential.
• Experience with civil construction accounts and PWD contracts is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day company accounts; handle GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
• Perform GST reconciliation and input tax credit verification.
• Handle TDS accounting and returns.
• Assist with ITR preparation and filing; coordinate with CA/auditors.
• Assist in statutory and tax audits; bank and ledger reconciliation.
• Maintain project-wise accounts and subcontractor payments.

Position

Accountant – GST, Taxation & Accounts

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Accountant to manage our day-to-day accounts, GST, ITR, TDS, audit coordination and project-related accounting for our civil construction business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day company accounts in Tally / Tally Prime
• Prepare and file GST returns – GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.
• GST reconciliation and input tax credit verification
• Handle TDS accounting and returns
• Assist with Income Tax Return (ITR) preparation and filing
• Coordinate with CA / Tax Consultant / Auditors
• Assist in statutory and tax audits
• Perform bank and ledger reconciliation
• Maintain purchase, sales, expenses and payment records
• Maintain project-wise / work-wise accounts
• Handle accounting related to PWD contracts, contractor bills and subcontractor payments
• Prepare Excel-based financial and expense reports
• Maintain proper financial and tax documentation
