• Journal entries, ledger scrutiny, bank reconciliation, and AR/AP processing.
• GST, TDS compliance: Returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), TDS computations, filings; TRACES support.
• Logistics & Export-Import accounting: import purchases, customs duty, Form 15CA/15CB, LUT usage.

Job description

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accountant who can independently handle day-to-day accounting, GST & TDS compliance, bank reconciliation, MIS reporting, and logistics-related accounting.

This role requires strong conceptual clarity, accuracy, and the ability to clear an accounting & taxation skill test.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Books Management

• Maintain complete books of accounts in Tally Prime / Busy (Proficient)
• Journal entries, ledger scrutiny, and month-end closing
• Bank reconciliation and fund flow tracking
• Handling AR/AP, vendor payments, receipts & invoicing
• Accounting for prepaid expenses, provisions, depreciation, credit notes

2. GST, TDS & Tax Compliance

• Preparation & filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) with reconciliation
• Understanding of CGST / SGST / IGST and interstate transactions
• TDS computation, deduction, payment & return filing
• Working knowledge of Sections 194I, 194H, 194J, 194Q, 194T, 206(1H)
• Handling TRACES portal, Form 16A, PAN defaults
• Knowledge of E-Invoice & E-Way Bill applicability and cancellation
• Basic assistance in Income Tax computation & return filing

3. Logistics & Export-Import Compliance

• Accounting treatment of import purchases & customs duty
• Knowledge of Bill of Entry accounting
• Filing & understanding of Form 15CA / 15CB
• Understanding of foreign remittances & TDS on overseas payments
• Awareness of LUT under GST and its usage

4. MIS, Audit & Reporting

• Preparation of monthly MIS reports
• Audit support & statutory documentation
• Maintaining records for GST, TDS & financial audits

Mandatory Skills & Assessment Criteria

Candidates will be required to clear an Accounts & Taxation Test covering:

• Journal entries (GST, imports, provisions, depreciation, prepaid expenses)
• GST rates & implications (inter-state & intra-state)
• TDS sections, limits & rates
• E-Way Bill, E-Invoice, LUT, 15CA/CB
• Practical accounting scenarios (logistics-based)

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Tally Prime / Busy
• GST, TDS, Income Tax Portal, TRACES
• Strong knowledge of Indian Accounting Principles
• Ability to work independently without supervision
• Accuracy, deadline management & compliance mindset
