Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Assist in development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets.
  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
  • Administer and track grant funds with donor reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international standards and legal requirements.
  • Prepare documentation for external audits.
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
  • Review and approve expenses per policies and budgets.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights for decision-making.
  • Maintain and improve financial management systems and processes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Proven experience in accounting and financial management

  • Financial Record keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development, monitoring, and analysis of annual budgets to ensure effective resource allocation.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Grant Management: Administer and track grant funds, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and timely reporting.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure adherence to local, national, and international financial standards and legal requirements.
  • Audit Support: Prepare documentation and support external audits to ensure financial transparency and accountability.
