Candex is hiring a hands-on Accountant with strong accounting and tax expertise to support growth while ensuring compliance with local reporting requirements. This is a hybrid role with office presence 3x a week.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting, CA or Inter CA, and proficiency in Netsuite and MS Office. Join a private global B2B fintech changing how businesses transact worldwide.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounting and Bookkeeping processes, audit, tax and other regulatory compliances - a must
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Inter CA - a must
• Proficient in Netsuite accounting or other ERP software
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to handle and prioritize multiple, competing priorities
• Strong analytical/problem‑solving skills
• A keen eye for detail to identify and rectify numerical errors or discrepancies
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills (both written and oral)
• Self‑motivation and the ability to work independently

Responsibilities

• Reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and consistency in recording financial transactions
• Assist controllers in completing their monthly tasks per set timelines, including reconciling (monthly), calculating taxes/VAT, and assisting with audits
• Assist in the preparation and filing of tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations for multiple countries
• Support the year‑end closing processes, including complex journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations, inter‑company balances and transfer pricing adjustments
• Ad‑hoc business projects as well as automation projects and processes improvement

The Role
