Job summary

oCommerce LLC, Mumbai-based, seeks a Staff Accountant to manage financial records across multiple brands and entities. You will handle reconciliations, AP/AR, general ledger, and close processes, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting.
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online or Xero.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets.
  • Experience reconciling high volumes of transactions.

Responsibilities

  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions across multiple entities.
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries.
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain organized financial documentation and supporting records.
  • Reconcile ecommerce platform payouts and payment processors.
  • Assist with expense tracking and vendor payments.
  • Support payroll coordination by preparing required financial records.
  • Help prepare financial reports for leadership.

Role Overview

As a Staff Accountant at oCommerce, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the financial health and accuracy of our portfolio of businesses. Supporting multiple consumer brands means no two days are the same—you'll work across ecommerce, technology, marketing, and operational entities, ensuring our financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity. You'll collaborate closely with leadership, operations, and our finance team to process transactions, reconcile accounts, prepare financial reports, and help build efficient accounting processes that scale alongside our business. We're looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, values integrity, and understands that great financial records enable great business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and maintain accurate financial transactions across multiple entities.
