Job summary

HEN Technologies in Bangalore (Hybrid) is hiring an Accountant to support day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and the monthly close within our Finance & Accounting team. You will work closely with the Senior Accountant and outsourced partners as we scale toward and beyond our Series B.

This hands-on role builds a strong foundation in core accounting fundamentals at a fast-growing hardware and technology company, with potential to grow into broader accounting responsibilities as we expand

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or commerce; CA/CMA/ACCA pursued is a plus.
• 2-3 years accounting experience, internship or articleship welcome.
• Basic understanding of US GAAP and eagerness to build on it.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite or similar).
• Strong Excel skills and attention to detail; ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and willingness to work cross-functionally; flexible with time zones.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping — AP/AR processing, data entry, invoice matching, coding and documentation.
• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations; investigate discrepancies.
• Support the monthly close — journal entries, schedules and close calendar.
• Assist with MIS reporting — variance analysis, cost reports, KPI dashboards.
• Support ERP migration activities with data entry, cleanup and testing.
• Support compliance and audit with required documentation.

About the Role

We're hiring an Accountant to join our growing Finance & Accounting team. This is hands‑on role supporting day‑to‑day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and the monthly close process, working closely with the Senior Accountant, our outsourced accounting partners, and the India Accounting Lead.

This is a great opportunity to build a strong foundation in core accounting fundamentals at a fast‑growing, venture‑backed hardware and technology company — and to grow into a broader accounting role as we scale toward and beyond our Series B.

What You’ll Do

• Support day-to-day bookkeeping — assist with AP/AR processing, data entry, invoice matching, and expense coding, maintaining accurate supporting documentation for all entries.

• Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations — draft reconciliations for review by the Senior Accountant, investigating and flagging discrepancies.

• Support the monthly close — prepare assigned journal entries and schedules, help maintain the close calendar, and track outstanding items through to closure.

• Assist with MIS reporting — pull and organize data for variance analysis, departmental cost reports, and KPI dashboards.

• Support ERP migration activities — help with data entry, cleanup and testing activities with the Senior Accountant and the outsourced accounting firm.

• Support compliance and audit — gather supporting documentation for statutory filings and audit requests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce; pursuing CA/CMA/ACCA is a plus.

• 2-3 years of accounting experience (internship or article ship experience welcome); exposure to a high‑growth technology, hardware, or manufacturing company is a plus.

• Basic understanding of US GAAP and eagerness to build on it; comfortable working under the guidance of senior team members and outsourced accounting partners.

• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) preferred; comfortable learning new systems quickly.

• Good Excel skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

• Good communication skills and willingness to work cross‑functionally.

• Flexibility for periodic calls across time zones (e.g., U.S.) as needed.
