Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, and income tax procedures.
• Experience with GST returns (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B).
• Experience with bank reconciliations and statutory compliance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and financial software.
• Exposure to budgeting and financial forecasting.

Job Description – Accountant (India Office)

The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations. This role involves handlingday-to-day accounting functions, supporting financial analysis, and maintaining accuratefinancial documentation while delivering high-quality outputs.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage general ledger activities and account reconciliations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
• Assist with GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B and the relatedreconciliations, and input tax credit verification.
• Reconcile TDS calculations, deductions, payments, and returns prepared byexternal provider.
• Support the global payroll team with monthly payroll and the related payrollstatutory compliances
• Assist in income tax computations and filing requirements.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Indian accounting and taxation regulations.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and statutory authorities.
• Monitor bank transactions and cash balances.
• Coordinate with banks regarding account statements and payment issues.
• Assist with budgeting and financial forecasting
• Monitor financial transactions and resolve discrepancies
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes

  Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Commerce (B.Com) or an equivalent qualification.
  • M.Com, MBA in Finance, or professional qualifications such as CA, CMA, or ACCAis an advantage
  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant accounting experience
  • Relevant practical experience in accounting and taxation.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards
  • Working knowledge of Indian GST, TDS, and income tax procedures.
  • Exposure to tax preparation and statutory compliance
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Xero or similar)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
