Job summary

Ambitio Technologies seeks an accountable, hands-on Accountant to own day-to-day accounting end-to-end—ensuring accuracy, audit-readiness, and timely books. You’ll collaborate with Sales, HR, vendors, and auditors, and have room to automate repetitive tasks for better finance processes.

The role covers receivables, payables, incentives, payroll, weekly tax reconciliations, audit readiness, and automation, with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of hands-on experience in core accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of GST, TDS and payroll statutory deductions.
• Experience with Zoho Books or an ERP.
• Advanced Excel / Google Sheets (lookups, pivots, SUMIFS).
• Experience supporting audits.

Responsibilities

• Receivables: invoicing, GST treatment, reconcile payments to invoices.
• Payables: verify vendor invoices, GST input credit, TDS, payment sheets.
• Incentives & bounties: calculate payouts and record them.
• Payroll & reimbursements: salary accounting (PF/ESI/PT/TDS) and reimbursements.
• Weekly tax reconciliations: GST and TDS reconciliation with books.
• Audit readiness: maintain supporting evidence and handle audit queries.
• Automation: identify repetitive tasks and automate processes.

Job description

Are you the kind of accountant who can't rest until every entry ties out? We're looking for someone to own our day-to-day accounting end to end, keeping our books accurate, audit-ready and on time, every single day.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You'll work closely with Sales, HR, vendors and auditors, and you'll have the freedom to automate the repetitive work and make our finance processes better.

What you'll own

1. Receivables

• Accounting of all sales invoices with correct GST treatment
• Reconciling customer payments and applying them to the right invoices (including TDS deductions, short payments and advances)

2. Payables

• Verifying and booking vendor invoices with correct expense heads, GST input credit and TDS
• Preparing vendor payment sheets based on due dates and approvals

3. Incentives & bounties

• Calculating incentives, bounties and referral payouts as per policy b. Preparing payment sheets and accounting for them correctly

4. Payroll & reimbursements

• Salary accounting, including PF, ESI, PT and TDS, and reconciling salary payments
• Checking employee reimbursement claims against policy, calculating and processing payments

5. Weekly tax reconciliations

• GST: output GST vs books and GSTR-1, input tax credit vs GSTR-2B, with vendor follow-ups on mismatches
• TDS: deducted and receivable TDS vs books, challans and Form 26AS

6. Audit readiness

• Maintaining supporting evidence for every accounting entry, traceable from ledger to source
• Handling internal and statutory audit queries

7. Automation

• Spotting manual, repetitive work and automating it
• Owning the accuracy of every automated process

What we're looking for

• B.Com / M.Com or equivalent
