Job summary

Unity in Bengaluru is seeking an Accountant to standardize and automate global accounting processes, with exposure to intercompany, treasury, OPEX, capex, leasing, and payroll. This hybrid role requires working 2 PM–11 PM IST, with a 1-hour lunch break, and collaboration with cross-functional partners and management.

You will prepare journal entries, perform P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, support close activities, and liaise with external auditors.

This role will have the opportunity to develop strong, working relationships with cross-functional partners and various levels of management. The candidate could have exposure to various accounting topics such as intercompany, treasury, operating expenses, capital expenditures, leasing, and payroll among other topics. Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules in accordance with US GAAP


• Perform monthly P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis


• Support management with company financial activities such as month, quarter and year end close


• Work with external auditors on matters relating to the annual and quarterly financial statement audit


• Identify and Partner with finance and other departments on various projects, including development and improvement of manual processes

Requirements

• Experience: Related Accounting experience in the field.


• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and oral.


• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and a proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


• Ownership and Curiosity: Strong sense of ownership and strong curiosity to learn new things.


• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify gaps in processes and propose solutions.

Experience and Knowledge

You might also have Experience and Knowledge: Progressive experience in accounting and/or audit, preferably with public, multinational companies, and a strong background in US GAAP and SOX.

Professional Certification

Professional Certification: Chartered Accountant.

Technical Skills

Experience with Workday Financials and/or Netsuite, and working knowledge of Excel and BI tools such as Alteryx.

Compensation

Base Salary Range- ₹786,000 - ₹1,179,000 INR gross
