Unity’s Accounting team is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our growing global accounting organization. This role will play an integral part in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes while supporting accounting, reconciliation, reporting, and process improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will have strong general accounting and US GAAP knowledge, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced global

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations and close processes.
• Analytical with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication for a fast-paced global environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Analyze GL, P&L, and Balance Sheet, investigating variances and ensuring accuracy.
• Support accounting and reporting across revenue, intercompany, leases, and other areas as needed.
• Prepare financial reporting and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
• Support audits and SOX controls, collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.

What you'll be doing

• Perform timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Perform GL, P&L and Balance Sheet analysis, investigate variances, and ensure the accuracy of financial information.
• Support accounting and reporting activities across areas such as revenue, leases, intercompany, corporate accounting, and other general accounting functions, depending on business needs.
• Prepare financial reporting and analysis and provide accurate accounting information to internal stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audits, SOX controls, and related compliance activities.
• Partner with cross-functional and global teams on accounting matters, process improvements, automation initiatives, and special projects.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field with relevant accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial close processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to investigate accounting issues, identify variances, and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, global environment.

You might also have

• Experience in areas such as Revenue Accounting/ASC 606, Lease Accounting/ASC 842, Intercompany, Corporate Accounting, or other specialized accounting functions.
• CA, CPA, or equivalent professional certification and/or Big 4 or public-company experience.
• Experience with Workday Financials, NetSuite, or other ERP/financial systems.
• Experience with SOX, financial statement audits, process automation, and large volumes of financial data.

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
